A car heading from Berri to Loxton in the near-darkness at around 6.45am on Monday morning crossed the double white lines to pass, into the overtaking lanes for cars driving in the other direction. I was travelling in the left overtaking lane, with a white Falcon behind me. He pulled out to pass me, but had he maintained his path, rather than hit his brakes and duck into the left lane behind me, the head-on collision – with the absolute imbecile coming in the opposition direction on the wrong side of the road – would’ve been horrific, given both cars were going around 110km/h. You stupid idiot. I bet you’re not so important that you have to drive recklessly to be somewhere on time, and endanger other people’s lives in the process. There’s no overtaking across double white lines. If you want to wrap your car around a tree and kill yourself, do it solo. Or get off the roads.
