BLANCHETOWN Primary School has secured the Mid Murray Sports Day shield for the fifth-consecutive year.
The carnival has been running for 66 years, and was recently hosted this year by the Waikerie Lutheran Primary School.
This year’s 176 students from the Blanchetown, Morgan, Ramco and Waikerie Lutheran primary schools took part in the event at Waikerie. 
Students and staff from Waikerie High School helped throughout the day.
Ramco Primary School won second place, Morgan Primary School came third and Waikerie Lutheran Primary School was fourth.
