Riverbend gets the grey nomad nod

A LOCAL caravan park has taken out a gold award for the ‘best large park’ at the recent Grey Nomad Awards.
Renmark’s Riverbend Caravan Park captured the honour in its first time entering the awards.
Park managers, Brett and Catherine Hein, said they were grateful for the loyalty of their grey nomad guests.
“Thank you to all of our wonderful grey nomad visitors for your support over many years – 2020 was a struggle but we’ve all shown strength through adversity by supporting each other,” the pair said.
“We’re excited for the future of Riverbend Caravan Park and the upgrades to our park designed to improve your experience.”
Edwards Group CEO Stephen Edwards said with caravans and RVs getting larger and the demand for pet-friendly parks increasing, the facilities were vital to providing a positive experience for grey nomads travelling around Australia.
“We are honoured to receive this award and it is great for our team to be recognised for the work they put in to make Riverbend the best large park for grey nomads,” he said.
“The continued support that we receive from guests provides great economic benefits to the local region and we are planning to invest heavily in our Park to encourage more guests to visit Renmark.
“Over the next 12 months, Riverbend Caravan Park will be developing a further 31 large powered sites, as well as, building a new camp kitchen large enough to cater for groups such as caravan clubs.”
