LOXTON residents are set to benefit from recent upgrades that will expedite the 5G network rollout, providing better connectivity and less downtime.
From 25 March, Optus activated the 5G+ network on an existing site located in Loxton, which should provide broader coverage and greater capacity compared to standard 5G.
According to the operator, the improvements will function alongside an upgraded Optus 4G site in the area.
Optus local general manager Jayson Grool said “we are committed to giving customers in Loxton and surrounds access to great mobile coverage and fast internet”.
“Local businesses and customers will soon notice the positive impacts of Optus 5G connectivity as the rollout continues over the coming months,” Mr Grool said.
“The improved connectivity for Loxton and surrounding areas will bring significant benefits, including faster data speeds and wider 5G mobile coverage as more 5G sites are turned on, helping the community to stay better connected.
“We are proud to continue investing in network and strengthening connectivity for communities like Loxton.”
