Rising flood levels along the River Murray have caused the temporary closure of the BIG4 Renmark Riverfront Holiday Park, just days after a neighbouring park was evacuated.
The park announced the closure in a post on Facebook earlier today, after notifying guests who were already booked in of the closure via email.
"As the water levels slowly increase here in Renmark, we have decided to make the decision to temporarily close our park today," the post reads.
"We are contacting affected incoming guests directly to either reschedule, receive a voucher or refund.
"We would like to reassure you that we are not flooding, however, our team need to now concentrate on maintaining our levee to protect the park from the high waters expected at the end of December.
"We look forward to re-opening and welcoming everyone back as soon as it is safe to do so."
The park, visited by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and SA Premier Peter Malinauskas on Saturday, is protected by a levee bank built to 1956 flood levels.
The closure follows the evacuation of six people from the nearby Riverbend Caravan Park on Tuesday night following an order by the SES.
