A night for the Loxton Hospital
1 min read

THE scene is set for the Loxton RSL’s annual Anzac Day dinner, with funds raised for the evening donated to the Loxton Hospital Complex.

Over $19,000 has been raised for the hospital since 2016, with staff from the hospital also catering the dinner.

“In 2016 we were looking for someone to cater for our Anzac dinner and my wife who was working at the hospital suggested the hospital could do the catering and it has been going great ever since,” Loxton RSL president Rob Manuel said.

“We are paying homage to our fallen comrades and remembering those guys who gave so much for us.

“Every year we have a guest speaker to inform us about something that has happened during the World Wars, so this year our guest speaker will be talking about the 1942 Bangka Island Massacre.

“We have got a fantastic hospital here and it’s great for two bodies to work together in the community; we have got a great hospital here, so let’s keep it great.”

The Loxton RSL Anzac Day will be held on Saturday, April 15, from 6pm at the Loxton RSL Clubrooms at 15 Tobruk Terrace, Loxton.

Tickets for the dinner are $45 a head, with bookings to be made by calling Lorraine Masters on 0473 364 881.
